Fika Farms ~ Soap with a Purpose

Fika Farms was founded by Ray and Rhonda Richards in 2020. Rhonda is a CPA and accounting professor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Ray is a retired football coach who spends his time working with the cattle, goats, chickens and lavender and helping Rhonda in the soap kitchen.

In 2017, Rhonda realized the need for students in her classes to truly understand what business was rather just than reading about it in textbooks. About that same time, she started working with Tin Star & Co, an upscale cabin property management business based in Hochatown, Oklahoma. A few years later, Ray and Rhonda visited a lavender farm in Michigan, gained a second wind, and decided to lavender and soap their retirement dream. They built a poolhouse that slowly turned into a soap kitchen, planted lavender and started Fika Farms Soap business in 2023.

Ray and Rhonda started making soap, created a custom scent for Tin Star & Co, and is using her knowledge of business along with the soap making and retail to create videos about learning accounting from a small business owner’s perspective (see below for details!).

To support a ministry near to their heart, Ray and Rhonda donate all profits from the soap making business to the Under His Wings widows ministry. The Fika Farm Soap family of Ray, Rhonda and their three grown daughters, when they come to visit the farm, work together to design, handcraft, promote and sell soap while Rhonda continues to make accounting videos to teach accounting from a business owner perspective.

Fika Farms partners with Tin Star & Co and Bleu Bear to handcraft branded soap for their companies.
